DOT & NON DOT: A Supervisor's Guide to Reasonable Suspicion Testing
This training is designed to enable a supervisor to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require testing. The first chapter of the course provides a brief overview of the DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements as they pertain to supervisors. Subsequent chapters provide specific training on signs and symptoms, prescription drugs, a confrontation process, information on the reasons for testing, situations that constitute refusal to test, a chart of drug and alcohol retention times in the body and a list of community help lines. PDF files providing more detailed information on drugs and other pertinent topics are accessible with a mouse click. A Certificate of Completion with the course and the individual's name can be printed for training files. DOT & NON DOT: Refresher Course: A Supervisor's Guide to Reasonable Suspicion Testing
This course is for supervisors who have taken the initial "A Supervisor's Guide to Reasonable Suspicion Testing" course but need a refresher. This course is designed to ensure supervisors maintain their understanding and "awareness" of the Reasonable Suspicion Testing process. The course is revised and updated annually and includes information on patterns of abuse, including prescription drugs. It includes a step-by-step workplace confrontation process, ways to decrease workplace abuse that are actually working and government estimates on what abuse costs employers and employees in profits, salaries, and taxes. Also included is an in depth view of one of the country's largest societal problems, addiction. DOT: Designated Employer Representative (DER) Training Course
This training course provides a DER with a thorough education of his or her duties as outlined in the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for drug and alcohol testing (49 CFR Part 40). The course also includes a comprehensive dictionary of testing terminology, specific modal regulations and their procedures for workplace testing programs. This course provides information concerning the effects of alcohol misuse and controlled substances abuse on an individual's health, workplace and personal life. In addition to information on the five most commonly abused drugs - marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates & PCP - and alcohol, the course also provides the employee with information on Club Drugs and inhalants. A chart of drug and alcohol retention times in the body and a list of community help lines are all included. PDF files providing detailed information on the different drugs and other pertinent topics are accessible with a click of the mouse. There are chapter quizzes and a final exam. A short course designed specifically for use by employers concerned that their employees trained prior to the 1 October 2010 addition of Ecstasy to the Federal drug testing panel need to be aware of signs/symptoms/effects and consequences of Ecstasy abuse. With this program, your certification can be obtained from the comfort of your home or office. Training for DOT specimen collections is required by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT).
